About Us
Our Heritage
Kusina Ni Maria Restaurant opened on Jupiter Street, Makati in 1984. It was known for specializing in traditional Filipino dishes served to a select group of clients with a refined & discriminating taste in food.
Soon, its popularity grew as word of mouth spread for such unique in-house specialties as the Asadong Curacha, Inihaw na Blue Marlin, Tostadong Alimango and other creations made with fresh seafood caught & flown daily to Manila from Zamboanga Del Norte in Mindanao.
It was Kusina Ni Maria, along with sister company Nandau Restaurant in San Marcelino Street, Malate, that first introduced the Blue Marlin to Manila diners.
After gaining quite a following in the local restaurant scene, demand for party catering from clients led to the establishment of Kusina Ni Maria catering in 1987 serving private functions in some of Manila’s exclusive residential communities.
